Charles the Goblin

The Goblin Coin

Not for sale. Not for trade. Not even for request.

The Goblin Coin is a small silver token—sometimes plastic, sometimes metal, sometimes metaphysical. It is given, never asked for, and only under one condition:

You did something extraordinary. Something goblin-worthy.

That doesn't mean heroic. It doesn't mean huge. It means you did something unexpected, delightful, curious, or brave. You reached out when you didn’t have to. You made someone laugh who didn’t expect it. You were radically yourself in a world that tries to file the edges off.

That’s goblin-like behavior. And I reward it.

What Does It Look Like?

Goblin Coin front with smiling goblin face
Front: The Goblin Face
Goblin Coin back with...a goblin's backside...
Back: The Words of Recognition

One side has a stylized goblin face. The other bears words of recognition, something like:

“Stand Tall, Shine Bright!”
“Ask the NEXT Question!”
“Embrace the Strange!”

No two coins are quite the same. Like goblins, they shift.
Apparently this particular coin decided to be funny when I took it's photo...

Why Do You Give Them?

Because I want to. Because sometimes you meet someone who deserves a little magic. And because I believe the world gets better when we recognize each other.

If you’ve received one, keep it. Carry it. Hide it in your sock drawer. But know:

**You earned that moment. And I noticed.**
